The New Mexico Education Partners is a coalition of professional organizations including AFT-New Mexico, NEA-New Mexico, New Mexico Coalition of School Administrators, New Mexico PTA, and New Mexico School Boards Association.



  

I SUPPORT

The New Mexico Education Partners recommends that at least 50 cents of every dollar in new General Fund revenue be spent on public schools by the 2007 New Mexico Legislature! The New Mexico Education Partners wants to move New Mexico Schools forward with a team of education professionals, small class sizes and up-to-date facilities and technology. The Partners’ proposal will allow New Mexico to close the achievement gap and improve student performance by attracting and retaining the best teachers and educational leaders by moving New Mexico’s educators into the top half of national salary rankings. It will also provide for increased parental involvement as well as more professional development and accountability for educators.
This partnership wants what is best for New Mexico students and I SUPPORT spending at least 50 cents of every dollar in new General Fund revenue on public schools in 2007.

Now is the time to invest in our students, our schools and our future!
